August 2012-Making the Connection: Barriers and Bridges to Prevention in Hard-to-Reach Communities--Session 4

With the CAPTA re-authorization, the reach of CBCAP stretches beyond some of the traditional boundaries. The work now includes unaccompanied homeless youth, adult former victims of maltreatment, and those in need of substance abuse treatment services. At the same time, support for Tribal communities continues to gain momentum. While many existing programs and strategies reach these populations, we have much to learn about their challenges and how we can support them in their prevention efforts.  The fourth session focuses on substance abuse and mental health. The session is designed and informed by members of the Advisory Network.
