| May 2011- Multiple Perspectives on Parent Involvement: Kansas Parent Research Initiative and Network for Action Parent Leadership Project |
|
This presentation focuses on the results of the Kansas Parent Research Initiative, a multi-agency study conducted in 2009 that collected data from over 80 agencies and more than 100 parents to explore perspectives on involvement. Results indicate that there is a discrepancy in the way that agencies and parents define involvement, and that in order to build a strong system of parent involvement, partners should understand the external factors that impact involvement from both perspectives. Additionally, there there is discussion surrounding the Network for Action Parent Leadership Project to be held in June 2011.
