November 2009 - Early Lessons from Research on Washington State’s Council for Children & Families’ Evidence-based Home Visiting Program

This teleconference was hosted by the FRIENDS National Resource Center for CBCAP to discuss the early lessons learned from research on the Council for Children & Families (CCF) portfolio of home visiting programs in Washington State, and how these issues may align with national research and policy discussions. Consistent with multiple reviews addressing how to take home visiting to scale, CCF’s formative evaluation work in the first year highlighted the  issues of model clarity and support, local adaptations, and local program capacity as central development and evaluation challenges to address.

The presenters were:

Joan Sharp
Executive Director
Council for Children & Families

Nancy Gagliano, LICSW
Director Programs & Evaluation
Council for Children & Families

Dr. Christopher Blodgett
Area Health Education Center, Washington State University
