May 2011- CBCAP Learning Call: Engaging Rural Families & Communities
During May's CBCAP Peer Learning Commuinty, we learn more about engaging rural families and communities.

Kathleen Belanger, Associate Professor for the School of Social Work at Stephen F. Austin State University, talks about the challenges of rural social services delivery, keys to competence in rural communities, and provides us with some examples of overcoming barriers to engage communities and families to meet the needs of children and their families in rural areas.  Kathleen draws on her work with the CWLA National Advisory Committee on Rural Social Services, with the Rural Human Services Panel sponsored by the Rural Policy Research Institute (RUPRI) and Office of Rural Health Policy (ORHP) as well as her hands on work within rural communities.
