2011 State Teams and Strategic Projects

Participants at the Network for Action had many opportunities to get involved and to build their networks.

2011 State Teams

One goal of the meeting was to strengthen networks at the state and local levels, so time was set aside for state teams to meet.
  • A State Teams Agenda Guide was developed to help guide states through the process.  The guide can now be useful as you engage in your local and state collaborations.

2011 Strategic Projects

Members of the network engaged with others to support twelve strategic projects of national significance. During the meeting, attendees shared thoughts, explored possibilities, and committed to a project that:

  • Supports meaningful action
  • Is sponsored by existing prevention organizations and networks
  • Engages a variety of partners
  • Supports a nationwide vision in support of a shared vision for prevention of maltreatment and promotion of well-being
  • Addresses the whole continuum of primary prevention efforts from prenatal to transition to adulthood; from research to innovative practice; from local to national scale; from policy to implementation
